Dalek Costume DIY

Remember this post just before Halloween? Well, this is what I made from the supplies in the photo, a Blue Strategist Dalek costume from Dr. Who. I did end up adding just two additional supplies to my original list.

I was quite nervous to make this when I first started out. My son came home and told me he wanted to be a Dalek. I had never seen one before, so of course I turned to google. Once I saw photos, I was even more afraid and I had no idea how I was going to pull it off. With the help of Pinterest and google, I was able to piece together several ideas as well as come up with a few of my own, to make his costume.

I'm pleased with how it turned out and discovered it came together quickly. It was not complex. He got quite a reaction while trick or treating, so that was a nice bonus. Most people had no idea what he was, but were impressed, none the less. And those who did know, LOVED it even more!
