Grabbing lunch with Mom & Dad at a Vietnamese restaurant in The Place (it closed this past summer 2012 just before we moved home).
Paul has a Vietnamese coffee to finish off his lunch.
A scrapbook page I made this day - probably the reason I forgot to frost my cupcakes - see below.
Grabbing a bite at the new outlet mall down the street from the school before their performance.
I totally forgot to frost my cupcakes this day - brain lapse! So at the last minute I had to grab all of my supplies, throw them and my 5 year old in the taxi and frost them in the school's industrial kitchen. Thank goodness we had to be there more than an hour early.
My lair of tiger cupcakes for the bake sale. They are red because it was the year of the tiger and red is the color of celebration and the program was in celebration of Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival.
Children in the cafeteria waiting for their turn to be on stage.
I remember loving this performance. This was back when I loved the school and thought it was a wonderful way to introduce my kids to the Chinese culture. One year later, my feelings had changed 180 degrees!
What a difference THREE years can make!
Check back later today for my PROJECT LIFE: Week 3 post.
