I'm having a hard time spending time on my blog posts this week. There has been a lot going on with our family. Our kids are now settling in at their new school which started in August, but that means now the things that need to be tweaked and addressed are all coming to the surface. I think in the long run all will be fine, but it has been three years of quirky international schools and lots of bad quality of all layers, so I think this adjustment time is just par for the course. And so far, the support at our new school seems very good, so I think we'll be alright. It is just getting there that is a little challenging for this mom.
So, true to my word to bring you photography related inspiration this week, here is a link to a really cool looking website on street photography. I think street photography is my favorite genre of photography. That and photojournalism. I so admire the ability to make a beautiful image out of real life as it happens. It is a HUGE challenge - I keep striving! And when it all comes together (so far it hasn't for me) it is simply magical.
I think I will continue through my life striving to be able to do that. In my way is, firstly, courage to be brave enough to put my camera to my face in places where I feel shy. Secondly, is skill, which I am always striving to improve. It takes practice and feedback which is hard to come by, but I trust that quality feedback will come and go as I go through my life and hopefully at the times when I am ready for it, it will be there!
I hope you will take the time to click over to that website. There were some pretty cool images just on the first page.
oooo off to check out that website straight away. I too love street photogrpahy, but also have trouble with my nerve!
Hope you get all the issues with school sorted quickly.
