Saturday, September 3
Playing on a Saturday morning. Wearing his brother's souvenir from The Great Wall. It sort of takes away from the original meaning of this hat. Not so scary any more.
Sunday, September 4
Getting ready for a family bike ride. This Sunday we rode to a restaurant that ended up not being very good. But it was fun to get out and about.
Monday, September 5
Getting his weekly homework done. I love how independent he is and how hard he works to get it done.
Tuesday, September 6
I've been so happy these days because for the first time since I moved to Beijing 3 years ago, we can buy fresh and delicious blueberries and raspberries. YUM! The big bonus was some favorite Greek yogurt was also on sale - 2 for 1. It is usually prohibitively expensive. The great sale is likely an indication that I was not the only one who thought it was too expensive for their budget.
This so often happens. The store owner prices an item. Nobody buys it. So instead of finding a healthier price point, it just sits on the shelf, unpurchased. Finally gets drastically reduced a few days before the expiration date and then we never see the product again!
Wednesday, September 7
My son and I took a mooncake making class. We forgot to bring the camera! So we had to settle for a photo with said mooncakes when we finally got home.
Thursday, September 8
The morning bus arrives just as we make it downstairs.
Friday, September 9
A special day at school during Chinese class. Making more mooncakes! The kids also wrote holiday greetings on lanterns in Mandarin and put special wishes on paper cut shapes and hung them on a special tree to wait for them to come true.
It was a fun day and I'm so glad I was able to be there. I love that part of being a mom - just hanging around watching my kids do their normal thing at school. A fun way to spend part of my day every so often.
I've been trying to upload all of my favorite photos from Project Life/Project 365 to Flickr. Even though it is only mid-September, I've already got close to 365 photos in my set which means I am often selecting more than one photo a day, but that's OK. It is so fun to look at the photos in the set as thumbnails and get a fun overview of our year so far.
If you are interested in checking it out on Flickr go here.
Great photos as ever margie! Love the first one of your son with the Chinese soldiers hat on!

Hey Margie!
We had some issues while updating the newly released update for our Zemanta plugin on TypePad, which caused our Related Articles to appear a bit awkward (it stacked them up vertically instead of horizontally) but thankfully we fixed it by now, so they should appear normally now (horizontally, that is). Here's more about the new feature: http://zemanta.typepad.com/
I would like to kindly suggest you to clean your browsing data (cache), restart your browser and try again then.
Are they showing up correctly now; can you confirm this? Let us know, we're really eager to get to the bottom of this.
Once again — thanks for your patience & feedback and sorry for all the inconvenience! And please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions regarding our service in the future; you can reach us via email (support[at]zemanta[dot]com), Twitter (@ZemantaSupport) or on our Support Center (support.zemanta.com).
Have a nice day!
Best,
Silvo

Hey Margie!
Yes, we know, but since you used our plugin for Related Articles on your TypePad Dashboard, we considered it best that we contact you regarding the problems we had with our new feature.
We just wanted to let you know what the situation, and why those Related Articles were showing up incorrectly and how to fix that problem. I am truly sorry if I took too much of a liberty to post this via your comments section.
I'll be more than glad to answer any of your inquiries via email (support[at]zemant[dot]com), so I won't be spamming anymore on this comment thread. Once again sorry for this mishap and I wish you a nice day!
Best,
Silvo
