I found these meringue nests that I might put on top of a cupcake.
What do you think?
I have two bake sales coming up over the next two weekends so I am looking for easy ideas that require only simple ingredients (we have limited supplies here in Beijing) yet have a big impact. I have a reputation to uphold! Haha! Just kidding.
I always like to make a variety of designs for each batch or else I get bored. Send any good ideas or websites my way please.

My kids used to like to make nests out of melted chocolate mixed with either rice crispie cereal or shredded wheat (broken up it kind of looks like a straw nest!) put in little cake cases and then leave a little indentation in the middle so you can fill them with those tiny little easter eggs in a candy shell.
Or use the idea of butterfly cakes, but put little eggs on top of the icing. http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/147793/Butterfly-buns

Kim, I love that idea for the nests and I can find shredded wheat here! Cant find crispy Chow Mein noodles, though - go figure. And thanks for the link to that great website. Those butterfly cakes are very cute and look really easy. Thank you!
