Any great ideas to make the day memorable? I'm thinking about the Easter Egg Scavenger hunt posted at amazingmoms.com. Click on the link below the photo to read about the details.
As many of you know, I am in China and will be for the upcoming Easter holiday. It's certainly not the same as being at home, so I want to plan a really fun and special day for my kids. But I have some limitations - I have only basic supplies (no Easter stuff for sale here in Beijing except a small amount of candy) and my kids are 6, 10 & 12 which means they aren't easily impressed!
I'd love to hear your suggestions! Thanks for dropping by.
That sounds like a good idea. Sorry, got no ideas of my own, my first thought was Amazon do groceries (chocolate etc) lol

You are too cool, Margie! Vivi would die for these cupcakes. Alas, though I dream of baking beautiful cupcakes, I usually just make muffins. But I did come up with a couple of fun Easter projects (blogged). But Vivi is easily impressed, thank goodness!

The trick is finding cupcakes that are easy but just look difficult! It started as something I did only for my kids' birthdays but has snowballed since coming to China since homemade goodies are OK to bring to the classroom & now it is expected of me! But that is OK, if I mentally prepare myself and plan my week to have enough time, I have fun with it. And muffins are good too and a lot healthier. But as many cupcakes as I make, I often don't make enough to share with my own kids. Oops! The cobbler's children have no shoes.
