The last year or so, I have been the habit of only scrapbooking during LOAD (Layout A Day challenge). So, it is very exciting to throw together a layout, just for fun! Not that LOAD isn't for fun, but hopefully, you know what I mean.
I used a sketch from Ella Publishing's Stretch Your Sketches challenge series. It's based on a book by Donna Januzzi that is full of wonderful sketches and layout ideas based off of those sketches.
One of the two layouts I have ever had published is featured in that book! (To see it, click here.)
Until September Ella Publishing will post a new layout on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month on their blog and at month's end will choose a winner at random to win a prize.
Great Layout, I like your use of ric-rac :)

Nice layout! I really like the way you used the ribbons & ric-rac to create color & borders.

I'm so glad that you made a layout "just because" and that our series inspired you to do so. You really should scrapbook more often - I mean that in a good way, not an admonishing way - your pages are so lovely and you have great eye for color. So happy to see you participating. =)

Thanks, Donna! Ill take that as a huge compliment from someone whose use of bright cheerful colors I admire.
