We ordered Chinese food (Here, in China, they just call it food! Haha! One of my favorite jokes from Friends.), ate on the living room floor and watched a DVD: GUARDIANS of GA'HOOLE.

Tuesday, February 1
The boys and I rode our bikes to Yoshinoya for lunch, went downstairs to Dairy Queen for dessert then rode to Ritan Park for a little ice chair fun. We followed that up with a hot cocoa at the Stone Boat cafe that overlooks the pond (where we ice chaired). Perfect first day of Spring Festival Holiday!
Wednesday, February 2Just before midnight, Sara (my photography partner) and I went out in front of our apartment complex and took photos of the chaos. It is tradition in China to let off loads and loads of fireworks and firecrackers for the first fifteen days of the Lunar New Year. It is craziness with very little reguard for safety. But it is spectacular! To see more photos, click to see this post. For video click here and/or here.
Thursday, February 3 - Lunar New Year Day
In China people eat jiaozi (dumplings) on New Year's Day, so we got on our bikes and found a nice local restaurant around the older neighborhood (hutongs) and had ourselves some!
Friday, February 4Our boys wanted to get into all of the New Year's fun, so we bought some of our own fireworks to set off sometime in the next few days.
Saturday, February 5
Everyone is off from school and work so we are using the time for family games. We have so many great games in our game library, many of which have never been opened! Rumikub is one of them. We had lots of fun with it. Reece was the winner. Then we opened Yahtzee (Nicholas received that for his last birthday.) and Dad won that game.
Be sure to check out Wednesday's post (Beijing Time) for my Best Shot of the Week.
That ice chair looks like my kind of ice skating. ha ha. Great photos. Looks like a fun week. Thanks for linking up. Excited to see your photos next week.

Great Pics!! It is so awesome that you are documenting your nomad adventure. It also is pretty cool that you can ride your bike everywhere. Have a wonderful week!
