Braden made these at school out of playdough. Jiaozi (dumplings) is the traditional food eaten on New Year's Day in China. I just love all of the arts and crafts they do at his school each month. This month most all the crafts were related to the holiday. In addition to these, they made red lanterns, hangings with the Chinese character for rabbit (this year is the year of the rabbit) and firecracker banners out of toilet paper rolls. I can't wait until they all come home.
what fun, I actually thought they were something to eat! i'd love to see all his fun crafts when he brings them home! :) thnx for sharing this week. Rebecca

I thought they were real jiaozi, too. I am going to need jiaozi lessons before we move home because I can't live without my ayi's jiaozi! Better than in any restaurant (brag, brag!)
