Houhai Ice Robots & Their Keeper - Best Shot Wednesday Houhai Ice Robots & Their Keeper, originally uploaded by Xnomads. After reviewing my photos for the week, I think this is my favorite. I like the contrast of this very serious, somewhat intimidating guy with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, watching over these funky, warn out, ice robots pulling rickshaws.

Load Day 2 - Look! Load Day 2 - Look!, originally uploaded by Xnomads. This is the fastest layout I have every thrown together. Where there is a will there is a way! We also didn't have internet and it was Chinese New Year's Day here in Beijing so I was worried no place with internet would be open. Luckily a friend came to the rescue and right before my family was leaving to go have the traditional Jiaozi (pork dumplings like potstickers) for a late lunch. Phew! Just in time!
