I don't usually post about things I find on the web, but I've found so many good things lately, I thought I would share a few!

This fun 2011 calendar from children's author Jan Brett's website. It is a free download!

This link for DIY ice cream in a jar is right up my alley. They have packaged it up to be given away as a wedding or shower favor, but I love it as a gift for any occasion. And in my world, ice cream is not just for summer so I wouldn't be against giving this as a holiday gift for neighbors, friends and even teachers! In fact, I think I might make some up for my son's Kindergarten teachers because just this past Thursday I was a special guest in the classroom and I taught them how to make ice cream in a ziploc bag! Everyone was amazed that ice cream could be made so easily and in a bag! I bet they would love to be able to take this mini kit home and make some for themselves.

I've also discovered Giver's Log today. I already love this blog because in the short time I've been looking around I've found so many great homemade gift ideas. What I love about it is that they are simple yet meaningful. Exactly the kind of gifts I like to make. I like something that is easy yet makes a big impact. They also have a section about pretty wrapping. I haven't had a chance to look around there yet, but it sounds exciting too. Can't wait to go check it out. And there's much more too - sections on Teacher's Gifts, Hostess Gifts, Party Favors, and lots more - trust me! If you are a homemade gift giver, you can't pass up this resource!

Hey, thanks for the great links here! I love the ice cream in a jar idea. My family loves camping and this would be a great thing to bring along. I'm off to check out 'The Giver's Log' - sounds cool already...

I love the pocket calendar. I made the Shutter Sister calendar as gifts two years ago. They were a huge hit. The Givers Log is wonderful; thanks for the link.
