To save shopping time when I go home to California, I have spent a lot of time online buying things I want to bring back to Beijing with me. Of course living abroad you can survive the days without many of the things you love from home - but why? I figure I'm giving up enough already, I need some comforts from home. Not to mention, many of them run out within the first few weeks upon return to Beijing so they are a short treat anyway.
Here are a few of the things that I have ordered:
PLANET SPA African Shea Butter Brown Sugar Body ScrubMy mother in law gave me some of this for Christmas a few years ago and there really isn't a better scrub. I've tried a lot over the past several years and this is still my favorite by far. And the price is very reasonable. It happens to be on sale right now and I was able to search online and find a coupon for free shipping on any shipment over $10. Not bad!
Orville Redenbacher Smart Pop Kettle Corn
This is my favorite afternoon snack. It isn't for everyone, but I have developed a taste for it. It is crunchy, slightly sweet and I can eat a whole bunch of it without any guilt. It is low in calories and high in fiber. I miss this a lot and unfortunately because it is so heavy I can't bring much back with me. My stash is usually long gone at the end of 14 days.
The rest of the favorites were scrapbooking supplies including the
Project Life Kit and Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I bought lots more but
mostly basics and some Basic Grey Christmas Paper. I ordered it all so long ago now that I have forgotten
everything that I ordered. It will be like Christmas when I get home and open the boxes. There are no scrapbook stores here, so I get to shop only twice a year!
MORE SCRAPBOOKING
Here is a scrapbook page I did recently. It is my son and some of his Christmas drawings.
LOOKING FORWARD TO FEBRUARY
I finished a two page spread last night that I just have to photograph and then I will be able to post it here. I started it for the challenge over at Scrap Weekly, but then I couldn't find the tags I wanted to use, so it no longer qualifies! But it does fit beautifully in my Library of Memories album. I just love that system. It works so well for me. And I am looking forward to being a coach. It is a wonderful opportunity for me to spend more time with the system and continue to refine it as I go along. I always learn so much when helping others. One of these days I want to go into more detail as to how much my scrapbooking has change as a result of Library of Memories as well as Big Picture Scrapbooking. It has been a personal revolution, in my creating, at least. Not to be overly dramatic, but it is true!
Check back often in February as I will be posting my Layout A Day projects and maybe more of my Library of Memories pages. It should be an exciting & busy month!
great blog! i love that someone else is as crazy as i am to do a layout a week! i know just by these few weeks of the new year, it has really helped my creativity level.
love your style.
