My intentions for 2013: BE GRATEFUL! EXPERIMENT! THRIVE!
I'm adding Try Green Smoothies and Yoga to my things I want to try & make part of my life during 2013.
For the green smoothies, it is something I have not done before, so I would like to do it daily for a time period - perhaps a week to a month & see how it makes me feel.
I'd imagine starting your day with a bunch of fresh veg & fruit can only be a good thing!
Have you ever tried green smoothies or drank them regularly? Tell me your experience in the comments.
The yoga is something I want to restart doing regularly. I've been pretty good over the past twelve+ years (with a 2 year break 2008-10), but over the past six months I have been much less consistent after our move back from China and my favorite local yoga teacher moving out of state. :(
THE VOICE OF THE MORNING
As I get into this year that I am planning to make more productive for myself, I am making plans, setting goals and writing lists and plans, etc. I feel excited and energized most of the day, but then there is that little voice of 'doubt and doom' in the back of my mind, that I can't escape completely.
Do you have that voice? The one that is filled with fear and tells you all kinds of valid reasons why you shouldn't do what you want to do.
My voice appears first thing in the morning before I am fully awake which I find that fascinating. It makes me wonder what I am dreaming about all night. Luckily, once I am fully awake and pull myself out of bed, that voice stops and all of the potential and excitment for my plans take over. Such a relief!
This is a great lesson for me...
Those are just thoughts.
Those are just feelings.
Feelings don't have to dictate my behavior and I can overcome negative thoughts and negative feelings. They don't have to get in the way of my goals and most importantly MY MOTIVATION to accomplish what I want.
