What "they" say is true, happiness is in the little things.
Today I had some fun exercising outdoors. I also accomplished a few of my goals for this week. I took a fun photo of my husband & I. This isn't the original one, but it is much more fun than an ordinary snapshot, don't you think?
Does this count as a self-portrait or a photo of husband & wife??
I was trying to get me in the right lens and the ocean in the left lens. I wasn't successful enough before my husband lost patience with me and we had to go about our day!
I'm thinking I will have to come up with more fun ways to document us together over the next 50 weeks! And that goes for our 12 family photos this year as well.
I mentioned in an earlier post about this 30 day happiness challenge I joined on a whim. I get daily challenges in my email box - most very quick & do-able - that are meant to bring more happiness into my life.
This one took me a few days to complete, SURPRISINGLY! 'Touch your bare feet to the earth (grass, dirt, etc)'. I knew I needed a photo of it. (I've been in love with top view feet photos, ever since I did this Take 12 layout back in March.) I was just going to walk out into the yard but then decided I live too close to the beach not to touch my little toes to the sand. REFRESHING!
I was a little shocked when I realized how seldom I touch my naked feet to the earth. It felt great.
Note to self: Do this more often!
I also convinced my husband to join me. After our first beach workout, we took off our shoes and socks and dipped our toes in the ocean.
The addition of the water, makes for a more interesting photo, no?
We both agreed we need to exercise outdoors more often! It is a shame we aren't taking advantage of our amazing locale, especially after feeling smothered under the pollution in Beijing the past four years.
I've so been relishing the amazing views, clear blue skies and the variety of clouds.
And this is a photo I took because I thought it was art.
I first noticed the layers of various foot prints left by all varieties of atheletic shoes. I was positioning my camera when I noticed just up ahead on my path, the bird's footprints joining in on the dance.
Perfection.
I'm adding this lovely pic to Simple Things Sunday today after not stopping by for a while.

Some where today I heard that ART IS A PRAYER. CREATING ART IS A PRAYER. Wonderful! I love it. I did a lot of praying today. And I'll share my prayers very soon!
