It is half-way through the year! As always, another year is flying by and it is time for me to share another Take 12 layout. On the 12th of this month I was smack in the middle of preparing for a trans-Pacific move, end of the school year events (our school was out last week already), saying too many good-byes to friends we are likely never to see again and preparing for the last day of school. And although there was nothing extra ordinary going on that particular day, much to my disappointment as it makes taking my twelve photos much easier if there is a visually interesting event going on, I did manage to get my photos and in the end tell an important and interesting family story.
Which makes me very happy!
On this 12th day in June, I just happened to be making my fifth batch in about 3 or 4 days of my "famous" oatmeal chocolate cookies. My husband loves them, my kids love them and they often ask me to make them for special events. This day I was making them to add to gifts so the kids could pass them out to their teachers.
I had totally forgotten to take photos earlier in the day, so I was relieved when I came up with this layout idea just as I was preparing to get baking.
I used template 9 in the Ella Publishing Template pack which is a companion to the Take Twelve Guided Inspiration Kit. There are so many great layouts and sketches included. It is so easy to find a good design to fit my photos and the story I want to tell, especially when I am in a hurry like this month. I made this layout while surrounded by a gang of movers, boxing up my whole house including all my scrapbook supplies. The template made it a piece of cake!
Head on over to this post on the Ella Publishing blog to check out all the other great Take Twelve inspiration. And if you hurry, you can link up your TAKE TWELVE photos or layout to win a wonderful prize - but there are only a few hours left at the time of publishing!!
